A brand and a website for a new local café-bar
The Peacock Lounge is a licensed café-bar in Park Farm Shopping Centre, Allestree, on the north side of Derby. It serves breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea during the day, and hosts live music, open mic, quiz and sip-and-paint nights in the evenings. As a new business, it needed a name people would recognise and a website where locals could check what’s on.
The brief
The Peacock Lounge needed two things before opening: a logo and a website. The website had to make the everyday information easy to find: menus, events, opening hours, bookings and how to get there.
What we did
Logo and visual direction. We worked with the owners to agree a direction for the brand, then designed the logo the café uses on its website and beyond.
A website built around what visitors check. The site is organised around the questions people ask before visiting a local café:
- Food & Drink: the full menu, from breakfasts and Peacock Platters to afternoon tea from £20 per person
- Events: upcoming live music, open mic, quiz and sip-and-paint nights, easy for the team to update
- Private & group bookings: private hire, Sunday hire and gift vouchers promoted on the homepage
- About and Contact: opening hours, location and an enquiry form
